Oh hey! I'm Jake. I grew up in Pittsburgh, PA, and now reside in Tacoma, WA. I started this blog in 2008 when I was in a heavy period of transition after college graduation the year prior. Since then, I worked in a few restaurants, started and finished a graduate program, and worked in a couple of universities before moving west, like every aspirant vagabond's dream. This blog is a way for me to share my thoughts with those whom I don't get to interact with as often as I'd like.
These days I make a living as a Career Development Specialist at the University of Washington Tacoma. In my spare time I like to write about my thoughts on life. I spend a majority of my time playing drums for Michelle from the Club, watching the Pirates/Steelers/Penguins, seeing live music in Seattle, and sharing brews (coffee/beer) with friends.
I believe in Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior, so my Christian faith is certainly the backbone of everything I do. Jesus' gospel of love is one that many can relate with, so I hope you find that I strike chords no matter what your beliefs are.
